Vs. Water During Workouts
Question: I know that I'm supposed to drink plenty of water throughout
the day but I was wondering if drinking juices that are mixed with water and drinks
like powerade count as drinking water. I understand that it is not just pure water,
but does it help?
Answer: Nothing beats regular drinking water for hydration. The biggest
issue with drinks like Powerade and Gatorade are the amount of sugar and calories
in them. A bottle may contain as much as 50 grams of sugar and over 300 calories.
Stick with water for your liquids and you will be much healthier.
