Muscle Building Questions - Best Mass Building Exercises

fitness-advice Question:
I want to know a way that can help me build lean muscle. At The moment, I'm not making any progress even though I'm training about 3 times a week, 2 hours each session. Are there any ways to build muscle more efficiently, as I can only train 3 days a week. Should I break it up into building one muscle group in those 3 days? Also, is a Smith machine bench press as good as a normal bench press. I'm rather apprehensive to use a free weight bench press without a spotter, But will do it If I have to.

The biggest factor in gaining lean muscle is your diet and The exercises you're using. For diet, make sure to eat at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight. For exercises, here are the most important mass building movements you should focus on:

Yes, you should break your workouts into one specific muscle group per session. Normal bench press is a much better movement since its a free weight press and works forces you to stabilize your muscles better. Just ask for a spot from a gym member for your last 2-3 sets and you will be fine.
